PGP: Download & How to Use

Use our public key to encrypt sensitive email before sending. If you run into trouble, reach us by phone or WhatsApp and we’ll walk you through it.

Quick Start (macOS, Linux, WSL)

Install GnuPG: macOS: brew install gnupg • Ubuntu/Debian: sudo apt install gnupg
Import our key: gpg --import ~/Downloads/pgp_public_key.asc
(Optional) Verify fingerprint (we’ll provide it on request): gpg --fingerprint
Encrypt a file: gpg --encrypt --recipient "OSLabs" secret.pdf
Encrypt a message: gpg --encrypt --recipient "OSLabs" --armor then paste your text, press Ctrl+D.

Quick Start (Windows)

Install Gpg4win.
Open Kleopatra → Import → choose pgp_public_key.asc.
Right‑click file → Kleopatra → Encrypt → select OSLabs as recipient.

Verify after import matches exactly:

Using with Email

Apple Mail/Thunderbird: add your own key, import ours, then compose → encrypt.
Proton Mail: add our public key in Contacts → compose to privacy@oslabs.net → lock icon.
